REDEFINING THE FORMAL UNIFORM WITH A BLOOMING MINDSET, PRADA FW23 “RECYCLING BEAUTY”

On February 23, Milan Fashion Week hosted Prada’s eagerly awaited Fall/Winter 2023 presentation, which was created by Miuccia Prada with Raf Simons.

The “Take Care” collection used its meticulously crafted clothes as symbols and representations, offering a thoughtful approach to both fashion and beauty. Traditional tailoring was combined with beautiful evening-wear aesthetics, and the reverse was done with normally expensive wedding attire, using uniform as a representation of care and duty.

The collection’s snug, cocooning volumes, which explored the idea of guardianship and protection, changed traditional outerwear basics by incorporating elements of warming padding, leather and suede textiles, and florals. A rotating ceiling that offered a “notion of transition” and imitated the recognizable décor of Prada’s menswear presentation from January was used to complete the showcase in other places.
