French fashion designer Jacquemus has made his first collaborative venture into furniture design through a partnership with Italian outdoor furniture brand, Exteta. The limited edition collection features chairs, tables, and benches, with the designer’s vibrant celebration of Provençal living being the main inspiration behind the pieces.

The Objets collection, a part of Jacquemus’ debut interior design efforts, includes a range of household items such as vases, plates, and trays in earth tones and soft leather, as well as key rings and hairpins adorned with floral motifs. The designer has also curated a selection of photographs and books that inspired the collection, featuring rare portraits of renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso and vintage books from David Hockney, Claude Nori, and more. The collection is exclusively available on the Jacquemus website and in their Avenue Montaigne store in Paris.

The Objets collection is a re-edition of the four-piece outdoor furniture set originally designed by Gae Aulenti in 1964. The pieces include a sunny striped fabric spread over a set of sun loungers, and matching the lounger’s off-white structure is the Locus Solus chair and armchair made of yellow striped material. Exteta had initially relaunched the Locus Solus chair and armchair back in 2017 in various colors and fabrics. Jacquemus’ design aesthetic is well-known for its playful ideals that reflect the calmness of the Mediterranean.
