GUCCI ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF A TWO-STORY SHOP IN THE MEATPACKING DISTRICT OF NEW YORK

Gucci is expanding its New York presence by opening a new store in the bustling Meatpacking District. The two-level boutique, spanning over 9,000 square feet, will offer a range of men’s and women’s bags, shoes, and clothing.

The first floor of the store will feature Gucci Beauty, which was launched in 2014 and offers a diverse selection of lip, face, and eye products, as well as men’s and women’s fragrances. On the second floor, customers will find ready-to-wear clothing and an area dedicated to private appointments.

The store’s design is inspired by New York and Florida, two cities significant to Gucci’s heritage. The 1970s aesthetic is brought to life with a pastel color palette, mid-century furniture, and mirrored surfaces, paying tribute to the decade. Metal mesh ceilings and reflective columns acknowledge the industrial roots of the Meatpacking District, while the painted cement floor and upcycled archival fabrics from past Gucci collections honor Italian architecture.

The store will also house Vault’s Gucci Continuum, a program that invites artists and designers to repurpose past Gucci pieces and deadstock fabrics for future designs.
