BOTTEGA VENETA AND GAETANO PESCE SHOWCASE ‘VIENI A VEDERE’ AT SALONE DEL MOBILE IN MILAN

Gaetano Pesce is a highly respected and versatile architect, designer, and artist with a long-standing career spanning seven decades. His innovative and experimental approach to various fields, including architecture, town planning, interior design, industrial design, and exhibition design, has resulted in numerous public and private works globally. Despite his many achievements, Pesce remains steadfast in his commitment to avoiding repetition and embracing creativity.

Recently, Bottega Veneta commissioned Pesce to create a temporary site-specific artwork for their Summer ’23 fashion show, which led to the creation of a unique installation called ‘Vieni a Vedere’ at the brand’s Montenapoleone store. The immersive installation, made using resin and fabric, encompasses the store and offers visitors a one-of-a-kind experience. Additionally, an edition of handbags designed by Bottega Veneta based on Pesce’s creative ideas is also on display as part of the installation.

Pesce’s handbags are inspired by his early life in Italy, growing up near the mountains in Este, and the prairies of America, where he lives today. They feature figurative designs that showcase his creativity and unique perspective on design. According to Pesce, such objects must communicate and tell a story to be successful in the future.
