FIRST LOUIS VUITTON CAMPAIGN WITH JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

In order to showcase the next phase of its partnership with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, Louis Vuitton has commissioned Steven Meisel to take yet another carousel of pictures. He already provided a plethora of fashionable photographs in December.

This time around, Justin Timberlake debuts in the French fashion house’s advertising campaign while sporting two leather accessories with a monogram that feature Kusama’s iconic pumpkin artwork. Along with Timberlake, who the company clarifies is a “friend of the house” rather than an official ambassador, the campaign also stars actors Hoyeong Jung, Léa Seydoux, and Zhou Dongyu.

Pat McGrath, a makeup artist, adorned the faces and bodies of the aforementioned stars with kaleidoscopic motifs that matched the artworks displayed on their corresponding Capucines and Monogram purses under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi.

On Timberlake’s arm, a bright pumpkin patch develops, and Blanchett’s jaw is covered in floral patterns. Seydoux’s eye and arm are encircled by abstract faces, and Jung’s collarbone is covered in signature dots. Importantly, Carine Roitfeld was in charge of styling the photo session.
